
The questions below serve as a tool for you to choose the right starting level for your child. Please begin at the top and read through each question. As soon as you answer ‘NO’ to a question, you will have found your child’s correct starting level. |
| Beginner 1 |
Can your child go underwater, fully submerged with open eyes and blow bubbles for 3 full seconds? |
| Beginner 2 |
Can your child get to their back and float on their back and tummyunassisted for 5 full seconds? If you answered ‘NO’ to any of the above, your child is a Beginner 2. If you answered ‘YES’ to all of the above, please move to the next section of questions. |
| Intermediate 1 |
Can your child side-kick with their face fully out of the water? Can they do free-style arms? |
Intermediate 2 |
Can your child flip under the water? If you answered ‘NO’ to any of the above, your child is an Intermediate 2 . If you answered ‘YES’ to all of the above, please move to the next section of questions. |
| Advanced 1 |
Can your child swim VERY CLEAN freestyle and backstroke for 25 yards? If you answered ‘NO’ to any of the above, your child is a Advanced 1 . If you answered ‘YES’ to all of the above, please move to the next section of questions. |
| Advanced 2 |
Can your child swim 25 yards of LEGAL Freestyle and Backstroke? (50 yards for children 9 and up) If you answered ‘NO’ to any of the above, your child is a Advanced 2 .
