Make Up Policy

Make up lessons are not guaranteed, they are all subject to availability. Each swimmer is allowed one make up per month (2 for each session) to allow our class sizes to stay small and give our swimmers the opportunity to have as much consistency as possible.

  • Make up lessons may not be rescheduled.

  • Make up practices are not available for Squad Groups.

Facility Closure Policy

In the case the facility is closed due to unforeseen circumstances such as inclement weather (thunder or lightning), maintenance, or contaminations, a credit will be posted onto your account for future use.

If you have any questions, please give us a call at (949)380-2550.

Weather Policy

Our lessons take place rain or shine.

If we experience thunder or lightning, our facility will be closed for 30 minutes, and the 30-minute clock will restart from the last time either thunder or lightning occurs. If this event takes place and your lesson is cancelled, then we will place a credit onto your account for future use.

If forecasts indicate prolonged thunder/lightning activity, the staff may cancel the remaining lessons for the day. Staff will be sure to contact families via email if that is the case.

Facility Policies

At the Mission Viejo Nadadores Swim School, the safety of our staff and members is our top priority. In order to keep our facility open and running efficiently, we ask the following of our members:

  • A swimsuit must be worn by all swimmers. No exceptions.

  • Children who are not potty-trained must wear swim diapers. Disposable diapers do not contain fecal accidents. Fecal accidents can close our facility down and cause cancellation of lessons.

  • All swimmers are encouraged to come prepared with swimming essentials: goggles, sandals, towel and any form of sun protection.

  • We ask that every child wear a swim cap if their hair is longer than their chin regardless of gender. Swimming is hard enough, but can be made worse with hair in their eyes and mouth.

  • NO GLASS CONTAINERS ON THE POOL DECK.

  • No drop-offs allowed for swimming lessons.

  • Please always keep an eye on your children.

  • No running on the pool deck.

  • No jumping or diving into the pool unless under the supervision of an instructor. The safety of our swimmers is a priority for us.

  • Parents are not permitted in the water unless participating in our Parent and Me classes.

  • No swimmers allowed in the pool who do not have a scheduled lesson during that time.

  • Dogs are not allowed on the pool deck.
