We are proud to host a Special Olympics swim team as part of our commitment to making aquatics accessible, inclusive, and empowering for all athletes. Our program provides a supportive, coached environment where swimmers of all abilities can build skills, confidence, and a lifelong love of the water.
Program Mission
Our mission is to create meaningful athletic opportunities for all individuals through the sport of swimming. We focus on personal growth, teamwork, and achievement — both in and out of the pool.
Coaching & Instruction
Athletes will receive hands-on coaching from trained Nadador athletes and swim instructors who emphasize:
Water safety and comfort
Stroke development and technique
Endurance and strength building
Goal setting and sportsmanship
All practices are structured to meet swimmers at their individual ability level, ensuring safe progression and positive reinforcement.
Training Environment
We provide:
Scheduled weekly practices (Saturday afternoons)
Small coach-to-athlete ratios
Adaptive teaching methods
A welcoming, team-centered culture
Our facility is equipped to support swimmers with varying physical and cognitive needs, creating an environment where every athlete can succeed.
Competition Opportunities
Swimmers have the opportunity to train for and compete in local and regional Special Olympics competitions. Participation is always encouraged but never required — athletes may choose recreational or competitive pathways.
Community Impact
Hosting a Special Olympics team strengthens our broader swim community by promoting inclusion, volunteerism, and leadership. Teammates, families, and volunteers come together to celebrate every milestone — from first laps to podium finishes.
Get Involved
We welcome new athletes, volunteers, and supporters year-round. Whether you’re looking to join the team, volunteer on deck, or support the program, there is a place for you in our aquatics family.
